Most US pole studios sell new students a first class for about $20, and a class pack works out to about $18.50 a class. Those two numbers come from 278 intro offers we recorded on the studios' own pages, as of 2026-10-26. Here is the full picture, and what we left out.
Based on 278 intro offers we recorded across 846 US studios, as of 2026-10-26. This is what studios charge new students, not an average of all US pole classes. We leave offers that only some newcomers can get, such as residents-only deals, out of the medians.

20 studios (5% of those with an offer) give the first class free. 70 more advertise an intro offer without a price we could use. 6 sell unlimited intros at other windows and 17 sell series of other lengths; too few of each to publish a median.
What a class pack means here
A pack price is divided by the number of classes in it, rounded to the dollar, before it enters the median, so a three-class and a ten-class pack compare on the same footing. The packs behind that number: 3 classes (42), 4 classes (20), 5 classes (17), other (23).
What we left out, and why
- 21 offers written as a discount ("$ off", "% off"), because a discount is not a price.
- 0 offers we could not confirm on the studio's own site, counted here and nowhere else.
- 3 offers only some newcomers can get, such as a price for local residents only. The studio pages still show them with their terms; they stay out of every median and count here.
- Free first classes: counted above, never averaged into a price.
- 4 offers dropped in review: private lessons, youth programs and bundles with non-class goods.

How these numbers are made
When a studio is verified, the intro offer on its own website is copied into its listing as written. A parser types each offer (first class, pack, unlimited window, beginner series, drop-in, free) and pulls the amount; any offer it is unsure about goes to a person before it can count. Studios marked unverified are excluded. Each type publishes its median, not its mean, because a few expensive packages would otherwise move the headline. A type or a window needs at least 8 priced studios on separate websites to publish a number (two locations priced off one website count once); below that it is a count. The date is the newest verification date among the contributing studios, not the date the page was built.
Studios that publish an intro offer skew toward the marketing-active and toward cities. This is the median of studios that advertise a price, not of every studio.
We do not publish the per-studio table. A studio's own price, and the date we saw it, is on its listing.
State prices
A state gets its own median only when it has at least 8 priced studios on separate websites for one offer type. Today that is California (class packs), Florida (class packs) and Texas (class packs). Every other state page names the national figure instead.

Of the 400 studios with an intro offer on file (64 of them aerial-only), 20 give the first class free, 5%.
Where do these prices come from?
From the intro offer text we record on each studio's own website during verification. A parser types each offer, a person checks every unclear one, and the page publishes medians, never averages, for each offer type with at least 8 priced studios on separate websites. For that floor, locations priced off one website count once; the median and the studio count include every location. The date, 2026-10-26, is the newest verification date among the studios that contributed.
