About Pole Community

We're polers. The team trains at levels from complete beginner to advanced, and we built this because the information we wanted didn't exist anywhere.

Travel makes the problem obvious. Anyone who poles and then goes somewhere else has run into it: you want a class while you're away, and there's no straightforward way to find out who teaches near you, what they offer, or whether they'll take a drop-in. You end up piecing it together from search results, Instagram bios, and dead Facebook pages, usually the night before.

It isn't just travel. Pole information doesn't sit in one place at all. Studios, classes, styles, gear, what things cost, what to expect before you walk in. Some of that is because pole is small. More of it is because pole spent years locked out of the places where sports information normally collects. Studios named themselves carefully for a reason. The community learned to pass things around by word of mouth instead.

That works if you already know someone. It fails if you're new, or new to a city.

So we started writing things down. The studio directory is the first piece: 1168 studios so far, 675 verified by hand, with the other 493 saying so plainly on their own listing, because a gap you can see beats a number we made up. All 50 states and Washington DC have been through a research pass, plus 1 country beyond the US. We added them as we finished them, one region at a time, rather than publishing guesses to fill the map faster.

Who runs this

Pole Community is owned and run by Sen Moves LLC, a Seattle company. We're naming that here rather than burying it. Our own coverage, studios now and eventually instructors, gear, and other pole businesses, goes by the same rules as everything else on the site.

What a listing tells you

Every listing carries the sources we actually checked. "Verified" with a date means the studio's own website or schedule was confirmed live on that date. "Listed, not re-verified" means the studio appears in earlier research and current activity wasn't re-confirmed. "Unverified" means the listing needs a check before you plan a visit. Listings are grouped by city, verified ones first.

We don't invent a fact we haven't seen. Not an address, not a class schedule, not a price.

Every discipline gets called by what it is: pole, chair and exotic, dance, flexibility, and the aerial work alongside them, silks, lyra, trapeze, hammock and aerial yoga. Nothing here treats any branch of pole as the embarrassing one.
