About this directory

What is Pole Community?

Pole Community is a free, independent reference for pole dance and aerial arts, built by pole dancers. Its core is a directory of 1168 studios across all 50 US states, Washington DC, and 1 country beyond the US, researched region by region and checked before it was published. Alongside it the site publishes beginner guides, a journal of sourced answers to beginner questions, a glossary of pole and aerial terms, real class prices, competition and retreat listings, a brands index, the statistics behind the directory, and a dated log of every change we make to it.

How were these studios verified?

Every listing carries the sources we actually checked. A studio marked "verified" with a date had its own website or schedule confirmed live on that date. "Listed, not re-verified" means the studio appears in earlier listings but current activity was not re-confirmed. "Unverified" means the listing needs a check before you plan a visit.

Does this cover the whole country?

We added states as we finished researching them, one region at a time, rather than publishing guesses. All 50 states and Washington DC listed below have been through a real research pass.

Is this a pole-only directory?

No. Pole Community lists the full pole and aerial landscape together — silks, lyra, trapeze, and other aerial disciplines appear alongside pole, honestly labeled with whatever a studio actually teaches.

How can I help?
